DAVE KOTULA
Dave Kotula founded The Kotula Group in 2014 after spending five successful years as a broker for a regional agency in the Chicago area. Prior to his brokerage experience, Dave completed the underwriting training program at Chubb Surety and worked as a contract bond underwriter in the Chicago branch office. This combination gives Dave the knowledge and experience to negotiate the best available terms and conditions for his client's surety programs.
Dave grew up in central Pennsylvania and has a family background in the industry. His father, Tim, was a principal of a regional agency in York, Pennsylvania and was head of the surety department. His brother, Joe, is also in the industry as a surety account executive. Dave graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA in 2009 with a BA in Economics. He is an active member in HACIA, the Surety Association of Illinois, the Society of American Military Engineers, the National Glass Association, and the National Association of Surety Bond Producers. Dave is an avid golfer and Notre Dame football fan. He currently resides in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago with his wife, Mariana, their twin daughters Emma and Madeline, and their dog, Quincy.
